Zelenskyy calls for launch of Melitopol mayor

Kyiv, Mar 12: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is looking on Russian forces to heed the calls of residents within the occupied metropolis of Melitopol who protested to demand their mayor be freed.

Zelenskyy, who spoke earlier Saturday with the leaders of Germany and France, stated the detention of Mariupol Mayor Ivan Fedorov was an try ”to carry the town to its knees.”

He said that Ukraine expects “the leaders of the world to indicate how they will affect the liberation (of) a person who personifies Ukrainians who don’t quit.”

Zelenskyy also encouraged Ukrainians to keep fighting, saying it was “not possible to say what number of days we’ll nonetheless have to free our land, however it’s doable to say that we’ll do it.”
